Deena coaches juniors and adults who compete on the road, the track and the dirt. She has supported the development of young people and adults since 2004. She started coaching endurance sport in 2015.
Deena has worked across several industries in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Spain and the USA. From human rights and political lobbying to bartending and bike-guiding, Deena has seen the world through a rich mix of perspectives.
Since 2016, Deena has been working full-time in sport. From 2016-2020 she led the national group for talent pathway at UK Sport. In 2020, Deena founded Drivetrain, combining the knowledge and skill of developing individuals with big picture expertise.
Today, Deena is a coach, team director, bike guide, sports journalist, coach developer, and consultant for The Cyclists’ Alliance.
